Bonuses

Postby cat923 » Thu May 26, 2005 2:44 am

I am not able to keep an accurate track of how I am doing due to bonuses received during the month.

Of course I can keep track of Party and Stars who pay lump sum bonuses. I can only guess at bonuses from sites like UB and Absolute.

I would like to keep some sort of record on a monthly basis. PokerTracker has no provision for it. I guess I am too lazy to keep manual track of tourneys in PT. This month I won about $250 from a finish in a MTT as well as some other minor stuff. I also got over $100 in rake rebate.

I would appreciate it if anyone can give me some ideas as to how to be more accurate. How do you keep track of the overall picture?

Thanks,

I have an excel spreadsheet and every Sunday night just log into each site I have played that week (and Netteller) to get accurate bankroll and bonuses outstanding info and update them. I note when I add new bonus $$ so that can see at a glance both my real bankroll increase, total BR, true earnings each week and how much I have taken and have available in bonus $$.

I write down all my details of every session and keep a log in excel. I have a sheet that has all the session info and have one sheet for each month that has overall totals that I update. All these monthly sheets are added together on one overall yearly sheet. This way, I track all my transfers, bonuses and poker playing.

How do you keep track of the incremental bonus like those given at Absolute, UB?

Thanks,

I don't do any of those bonuses at the moment but if I did, I would just add it in as I release it. For example, if I play enough to release $20 during that session, I would add it onto my log, even if i'm $19 to my next $20. Until its actually released to my account for me to withdraw it if I choose, I don't considered it earned or would add it to my log.

There is an excellent post on using PokerTracker to record your bonuses at the PokerTracker forums.
