My my, don't FROWN, just drop back down! (tm)

Well, ok, so I don't know how to actually trademark something, but #@$^@^@#$^% I should be able to. Don't you think ATE comes up with the greatest little expressions!

Anyway, the topic for today is this: Expecially when not playing with a LARGE bankroll

1000 Big bets, and up) it's a good idea, to drop down in limit, when you lose about 1/4 of your bankroll, until you are back on the winning track again

But, don't take this to the extreme, and drop WAAAAAY down, just because you have a loss or two

My Friend, Vending Machine Robert, is so silly. He has a 20K 'roll, and plays 20-40

Since he has a nice vending route, making him about a grand a week, this falls within ATE's Recommandations. Plus, the guy hardly spends any money, so this further gives him the power to play, on what I would consider to be about HALF of the sate bankroll, for someone with no money coming in, and who spends most of his winnings.

Anyway, the guy hardly EVER looses, as he will play FOREVER, to make sure of that
(Ed note: recently, he had his first loss EVER in 20-40, and YES, he does report his losses to me, honestly)

So, after losing 428 dollars, do you think he'll be back in 20-40?

NOOOOOO! Although I have not spoken to him, since the loss, I know his tendencies

He will actually drop all the way down, to 4-8, until he gets his money back that he lost!!

This is a very unprofitable thing to do, and only serves to compound the loss!!

So, here's my advice to y'all

If you are playing, say 5-10 hold em, with a 3000 bankroll, and lose 500, drop down to 3-6. If you drop down to 2000, be prepard to play 2-4, until you're back up to 25, then go back to 3-6, then back to 5-10 when you're back to 3000

Going busted, is the worst thing you can do. Now, you'll have to sell off something, or max out a credit card . . . . .

Or even WORSE!!! Yeah, ATE has met MANY people who . . . . uh, let's just say did

NAUGHTY things, to get the money to play. (you meet a lot of crooked people, in the los angeles clubs)

The ultimate example: I know a pharmiscist, who will return shoplifted clothing, when he goes broke)

Now, the reason I mention this, is that I don't want and of my readers, to ever be in a position, where they have to do desperate things, to get back in action.

Let those who don't have the benefit of ATE's Wisdom, do those things.

How about Richard, the French Canadian, who rented out ALL the rooms in his home, slept in the dining room, because the living room was covered with sleeping bags, occupied with college students (who he also rented space to)

yeah, mess around with proper bankroll strategy, and see where'll it'll get ya!!!

Don't be a clown, DROP BACK DOWN!!
