BTW, anyone with the roll to play at the NL$100 and not doing it is losing EV.

Life ain't all about maximising EV or we'd all be grinding 8 tables 24/7. Even poker playing (at least for non pros) isn't all about +EV.

Most fun I've had this week has been discovering the HU SnG's at Stars.
I had previously avoided them as I saw that you start with 1500 chips, with the blinds at 15/30 and TEN MINUTE levels, so assumed they must take like a week to finish (and I play them as wind-down after a ring session or when I only have 10-15 minutes and fancy a poker fix)

By comparison the ones I play at Paradise are 10 hands/lvl and usually last 30 hands or so - which leads to an average play time of about 8 minutes.

Stars HU do take a little longer (but not anywhere as long as I expected) but they are much much more fun and really give you soon room to outplay your opponent. Also if you build a dominant chip stack you have a good chance of finishing off your opponent safely - in the Dise ones the blinds would be so huge so fast you would be forced into pre-flop all-in coin lips almost every hand ater 30 hands, so a 3:1 chip advantage was always one coin-flip (and often one hand) away from dissipating.

Xas, playing shorthanded with your, ahem, 'aggressive' image after they've seen you push the turn with second or their pair with a gutshot/open ender then TPTK is alot stronger than on a 10 handed table where everyone has a sub 20% VSIP.

I get away from TPTK NO PROBLEM on a regular basis at these low limits...they usually have two-pair or better. I only go to the felt with TPTK if I'm raising in a steal position and they play back at me (and I think they're making a move).
