Lets say youre having one of those days, youve put in a seven hour session and down $140, you just arent getting anything. Yes you may have picked up a few small pots here and there but its just one of those days...weve all had them. Exactly 1/2 of your losses have come from the rake, $70. Time charge hurts alot more when youre having a losing session then a drop. Remember one thing when you sit at a time charge table, youre down before you start to play. If youre planning on playing for 5 hours, then youre already down $50..no iffs ands or butts about it. Now if the drop put more money in the casinos back pockets, then all the tables would have the automatic shufflers built into them, thus speading up the game and less fatigue for the dealers. Bottom line casinos have done there homework and the time charge puts more money into their back pockets.
