RESULTS Mon 28th March - Sun 3rd April 2005

Postby k3nt » Sun Apr 03, 2005 5:15 pm

Results and commentary, please. We love conversations about results. Really, we do. The more people who post to this, the happier I'll be.

That said, I'll be gone most of the week and am unlikely to have internet service. No poker and no postings for me all week, most likely. :( I should be back Friday night most likely.

On the other hand, with the way I've been playing, a week off from the tables is probably a very good idea. Sigh.

Not a lot to report this week - It was financial year end at work, I had to finish the latest part of my PT guide and my Mom came down this weekend to visit - all in all not much time spare to play hands.

I moved up to UB $100 tables on Monday and - despite warning myself not too - played LAA (40%+ vp$ip - what a muppet) and dropped $165 on the first table

Actually I was down $80 and would have been back to even had some guy not hit a 2 outer on the river when all-in on turn to bust me. However my bad play deseved a bad beat or two so I'm not complaining.

The rest of the week was quick sessions (I only had time for quick ones) winning $20 and $30 to make sure I didn't post a losing week (I haven't had one since November and don't intend to start now).

I was $110 up on one table then lost to another dreadful bad beat (5 outer this time) to wipe me out to -$20 but other than that had a smooth climb up..

Time spent 4.5 hrs (MTT 2.24)
Hands Played 773 (UB $100)
Vp$iP 31.8% (my usual was always 25% but I've watched it climb dangerously up with the deeper stacks and more speculative play of recent weeks)
PFR 9.3%
WtSD 25%
PFA 3.32 (maybe a little too much pushing - on UB especially it might be better to let the very aggressive players there bet into you a bit)

Amount won $56.85
PTBB/100 +3.7
UB Bonus collected - c.$22

Totlal amount bankroll increase:$88.85
Real hourly rate - $19.74

Like I said a messy week but I'll take almost $20/hr over such a disjointed week and with such an awful start...

Played two levels all on Party or Empire.

$2/$4

Hands: 315
Amount Won: $29
BB/100: 2.3

$1/$2

Hands: 1853
Amount Won: -$25.25
BB/100: -0.68

You do the math and see I won $3.75, I rock! Well my excuse is March is ass, my wins have come from April. Next year I think I am going to go trekking in the mountains for the month of March or something.

Good news is I made $200 and something in reloads during this period.

This past week has been my BEST week ever...

I really worked on my pre flop aggression this week. Previously when I was playing 4 or less tables my PFR% was around 5.5%. When I switched to 8 tables, it dropped to less than 3% and I was receiving MUCH less action with my high PP. This week I was able to get it back up and by the end of the week it was close to 6%. My ideal goal would be around 7.5-8.0%. I also worked on my river aggression and checking rather than betting to induce the bluff (hence my drop in PFA). Worked rather well...

8 Tabling $50 NL
Party (and Skins)

Hands: 18,877
VP$P: 12.83%
PFR: 5.35%
PFA: 2.44
PTBB/100: 10.24
$/Hr: $32.22
Total: +$1932.41

Bonus: $100 Empire Reload
Rakeback: $178.50

Total Profit: $2210.91

I had limited play time this week as well. $20 NL on GC, 3 Tabling 9.3 hrs total.
+153.62 thats $16.51/hr about 68.8 bb/100

Was nice to have an outstanding week after being down the week before. I met my BR goal to move back up to the $50 tables this week. I think 4 tables is too much for me @ this point im my developement and 3 tableing worked well, gives me a bit more time to make better decisions and to observe my opponents.

If you're gonna play trash, expect it to get taken out.

(I hate those people who quote themselves, but that's one of my original lines).

Well, not a good week - but they do happen on occasion.

($247.51)

Most of this was from a bad night working on the Interpoker bonus, though I also went on a bad tear at Pokerstars on Monday.

They are based on 8-tabling $50 NL for 60 hrs in a week - that isn't so much pro poker player as pro headache pill researcher :)

Well done getting the PFR up though - glad to see it came through in the results

Mad Genius, currently I own a small web development business; however, this is becoming an extremely nice secondary income. I would love to sell my business and do this as a FT living; however, I need to be able to bring in at least $1500 a week for a duration of time before I could ever think about doing that. Hopefully its sooner rather than later :D

excession, it really isnt as bad as it looks. It is actually much easier for me to play 8 tables rather than 4. No headaches here
