RESULTS Monday 21st Feb - Sunday 27th Feb 2005

Postby k3nt » Sun Feb 27, 2005 10:52 pm

I think I am a little too focused on results. I really want to post them. Can't even wait til the week is completely over....

All on Gaming Club 10c/20c NL tables, as usual.

11.5 hours, +$178.54, +$15.53 / hour. About 77 BB/hr, if I'm calculating that right. Yay!

I played poker for money for the very first time ever in late November of 2004. My monthly totals look like this:

November + $3.53
December + $90.65
January + $199.71
February + $459.05

Every month more than doubles the previous month! Gotta love it. :) :) :) :)

I have now withdrawn all of the $$ I ever put into poker, plus $300 of winnings. Actual money in my actual savings account. Feels really good.

All I can say is, Thanks to everybody at Bet The Pot for all your help & encouragement!! 8-)

I hate to say "I told you so", but didnt I tell you you were more than ready to move up?

My next suggestion is dont withdraw any money from your bankroll AT ALL. A few extra $100 in spending money feels really good now, but if you leave it alone for several months you'll be playing higher stakes and that few extra $100's will be $1000 every month.

From what Ive read of your posts, you are more than ready to be playing .50/$1 NL. You just need the bankroll for it, but you'll never get there if you withdraw money.

You'll thank me later.

$3/$6
Hands: 1322
Won: -$49.75
BB/100: -0.63

$2/$4
Hands: 872
Won: $97.50
BB/100: 2.74

Total

Won: $45.75
BB/100: 0.71

Not great but could have been a lot worse.

.50/1 limit
Hands: 2195
won: $74.81
BB/100: 3.41
If you're gonna play trash, expect it to get taken out.

(I hate those people who quote themselves, but that's one of my original lines).

36 stud 8 or Better, 7 hands, 18.25
1020 limit 6 max, 20 hands, 127.00
510 limit, 638 hands, 531.00
36 limit, 328 hands, -318.00

Bonus: 200.00
Rake return: 102.65

A little slack in my hourly input this week. My new years resolution to put in 35 hours a week has really fallen by the wayside quickly.

($100.38), 716 minutes

All in all, it was a down week, but it was good in terms of tournaments - where I've done fairly well.

As good as last week was, this week was equally as bad. Non stop, KK vs AA, set over set, flopped sets beating high PP, getting rivered. I believe I lost well over $500 from being rivered this week. I couldnt catch a break while my opposition couldn't do anything wrong.

I think my bad luck started to make me timid which did not help the situation. Luckily last night, I started to get back in form; although my bad luck continued. Thank goodness for reload bonuses and rakeback programs which kept me afloat.

4 Tabling
$25 NL @ Party:

Hands: 9187
PTBB/100: 3.29
PTBB/Hr: 5.72
True Win Rate: $5.72/hr
Amount won: $302.54

I cleared $200 of Party's reload bonus and made approx. $100 in rakeback saving my week...

Total amount earned: $602.54.

Iceman, I'm sorry that I was not clear last week. I am well aware that Poker Tracker uses BB to represent "big bet" which is 2x the "big blind". I modified it this week for clarification. Thanks.

All on GC this week, mostly full ring, some 6 man tables for a change of pace,
.10/.20 NL + $127.29 in 18 hrs 35.3 BB/100.
Had a much better week after a down week last week. I doubled my post flop aggession when I get a hand, and it seems to have cut down on the str8/flush chasers considerably.
I also read and reread "anatomy of a loosing streak" and was surprised to see a good discription of my play last week. So I tightened up and played smarter, layed down hands that were second best instead of pushing w/ em and my bottom line showed it.

For me, its much easier to play great poker than to be a great poker teacher, so Im glad my article helped someone.

$40NL, $1/1 blinds @ Ocean's 11
2/25/05: +$20, 5 hrs

Didn't put in a lot of time this week, partly due to work, partly due to laziness. I really need to get after that interpoker bonus.

Sessions: 6
Time: 15 HOURS
+$1002 (includes $40 bonus)

Was up $1400 in 11 hours this week. My last session I actually lost about $400. I was down $800 at one point though so I was happy by the end of it.

Way to go guys. I don't have much to post in terms of results but it's good to see the BTPers doing well. Maybe I should take my bankroll and use it to stake you guys to play higher limits since the money is going to waste now.

Or you could just start playing again, Madge :D....

Anyways, congrats Kent. I also wholeheartedly endorse iceman's sentiments - DO NOT remove any of your BR until you're up beyond $2k, that way you can get up to the limits where your game will be more profitable at a faster rate. Great rate of increase though, your results look very similar to mine when I started online at UB a couple of years back, I know that, like me, you'll get a great sense of achievement once you post your first $500 month, your first $1k month etc etc... So keep putting the hours in and soon you'll be withdrawing hundreds every month from your poker winnings, but the more you can keep in your BR the quicker you'll reach that point.

Anyways, here's my week... With TUP out of action, and iceman remaining tight-lipped as to his results, I hereby pronounce myself the winner of this week :D and I didn't even play the last two days  .... Good results everyone, here's to a solid March.

Weekly earnings: $1070
Weeky hours (real time): 17 hrs
Hourly rate: $63

Monthly earnings: $3020 (plus a bit of rake rebate)
Monthly hours: 54
Monthly hourly rate: $56

Been a good month for me. Good job because I might not be able to put in many hours during March. For the rest of the year I want to keep my hourly rate above $40 for sure, $50 would be nice but I think unless I ALWAYS play my best games (5 tabling at PLO) or move up to play only the $200s I think that could be tough. Still, I could have a change of heart...
