All on Party

$100 tables
3129 hands 4 tabling
14.41 hrs +424.72 +29.47/hr 14.41 bb/100

$200 tables
910 hands 3/4 tabling
5.2 hrs +12.84 $2.47/hr .7 BB/100

Totals $437.56 for play and +$100 for bonus = +537.56 27.41/hr overall

Did well on the $100 tables inspite of playing LAG early in the week and being down several buyins early on. I tightened up and played my normal game and did fine the rest of the week.

Tested the waters on the $200 tables on Sunday after reaching my BR LVL for that. First hr in I was down 2.5 buyins mostly to set over set and K high Flush to A high flush and decide to evaluate my play bofore continueing.
After reviewing PT stats I decided to have another go at it and was back up +12.84 after a 4 hr session. Play on $200 tables seems to be noticably better, but not unbeatable by any means. Need more hands/experience there and that will come this week.

My best week ever in terms of total BR gain. June 3rd marks my 5 month anniversary of my first Poker game of any kind for money (yeah I know im a newb  ). When I started I thought if I made over $200 a week playing poker by the end of the year it would be GREAT! Now after 5 months my BR is over 3K and im sniffing around the $200 tables where substantial money can be made. I still have alot to learn and a ways to go, but im dreaming alot bigger than $200 a week now :D . Thnx to Ice for making this site possible and all the HH analysis ( mine and all the rest) by all the pros/simi pros/experienced players.

Well, Jeff is a success story of one kind for livepokerforum. I'm a success story of another kind.

A much SLOWER kind.

All at Prima.

13.3 hours, +$30.79, +$2.32 per hour.

Oh, let's break that down.

$20 tables: 1.3 hours, + $66.64 :)
$50 tables: 12 hours, -$35.85 :(

Plus a $20 bonus. Always nice.

All-time, I am now down about 23 dollars total in all my hours playing the $50 tables -- that's over more than 35 hours, so I lose about 60 cents per hour. I guess it's not a terribly high price to pay for tuition...?

But my PokerTracker stats show that I have beaten the magical Iceman barrier at the $20 tables -- I am up 15.87 PTBB/hr since I have tracked my hands. (8,950 hands at the $20 tables.)

That's right. I win bigger than Ice says is sustainable at the $20 tables, and lose money at the $50s. Talk about a frustrating move-up!!!

Will keep plugging away.

After a spectacular week last week,
I had one bad night at Party, trying to unlock a little bonus.
That will teach me to play after drinking good beer.

I gave up almost 20% of my bankroll, first at the NL25 tables(wreee), then in 3 Sn'Gs where I could not make the money.

Net loss: $77 in one night.
Have made back about half of that with solid play, and unlocking the $20 in bonus.

Keep on grinding!
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Well, this is certainly one of my best weeks ever - and it closes my best month ever since I didn't play on Monday or Tuesday.

Full details on hours played and such can be found in my journal. On to June!
