what to do to release bonusi...

Postby m9man » Fri May 13, 2005 3:43 pm

Id appreciate any advice from my fellow BTP'ers... My total online roll is now up to $630

Ive got a few bonuses to clear, and Im just wondering what level of HE to play to release it given this broll.

a few snippets of info. after 6,000 hands of 0.5/$1 limit HE I am at 3.5BB/100 [3 tabling it]
but I have yet to move up to 1/$2 limit.

I prefer NL but don't yet have the online experience or broll to play at the levels required to clear the bonus in a timely manner...

should I sprinkle in a 1/2 table with two 0.5/$1 tables? or what...

tanx for any input

It really depends on what sites and what their release requirements are. For example, Party and Empire just require a certain number of raked hands (like 10x the bonus amount) but the rake size could be anything so playing $25 PLO tables have worked for me since the pot has to get to $2.00 to rake and about 80-85% of hands get there. Stars requires a rake of a certain amount depending on the limie like .75 cents ($15 pot) on the 1/2 tables or 50 cents (10 pot) on .5/1 limit. Those are the sites I mainly use so I play 1/2 limit of PLO depending.

Starstealer has a good post on this.

If you have more questions, post which sites you are trying to clear on.

Good points Andy,

Since I started the thread I did convince myself to move up. and Im bonus clearing using short-handed 1/2 limit. and its been sweet so far, but too early to tell if its just luck.

the speed of play (2x hands/hr vs. full ring) and the usual presence of players actually worse than me, make it the ideal format to clear bonuses - as long as u can tolerate the increased volatility...

ill be playing the NL after I clear the bonus. but like u said 2 tabling 1/2 SH tables is pretty good hourly rate...
