ONLY MY OPINION---

I firmly believe in to 80-20 rule (which you see in all sorts of situations), although I doubt the winners of much substance would amount much more than around 12%...

My poker tracker database has been consistantly about 1/3 winners. However I also know that a lot of that is based on when they play at my table. One large suck out with 9 10 suited against AA in an all in makes them a WINNER but probably not in the long run. The person who has won the most money off my played me 4 hands and won a $67 all in with me when he hit runner runner flush against my set of A's. I've lost almost $300 this month (Not a good month) yet I'm winning over the long haul. For me i've got over 10K in hands most other people I've maybe got several hundred hands.
I did say no to drugs..... They just didn't listen

10% sounds right

Think of all the people that play & then quit when they lose their deposit, then never play again. Gotta be alot over a course of a year. 1 thing almost every successful poker player have in common is a period of extreme luck when 1st starting. I think that is generally needed to get them through their first losing streak. I know I had it or I doubt I would have kept playing.

I suspect if you put a qualifier, such as only looking at players that continued to play over the course of the entire year it would be closer to 50/50.
