New guy on the block

Hi

Just wanted to post and say Hi, I think this is a pretty nice forum you guys have here.

I'm not going to bore you with a lot of intricate detail, but I would like to give you some background so you know where I am coming from when I comment on a hand or situation.

I currently make a living as a tournament specialist, playing primarily online with a few live tournaments every month. I have been fortunate enough to be successful on a semi consistent basis, and I intend to improve my game and move up in buy in size steadily. I play primarily on Full Tilt, where I have won each regularly scheduled 24 + 2
guarantee tournament at least once, except for what is now the 16k. My best accomplishment was winning the 8k tourn 3 nights in a row in early Dec 05. That was just part of an amazing rush where I managed to make 12 final tables in 9 days. Haven't done that well since then, but you can usually find me on a final table a couple of times a week.

As for my personal life, I am 44, with a wife and 2 daughters age 20 and 6. I live in western Michigan and spend my free time playing golf when there is no snow on the ground.

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
