the more i looked at this hand after my session, the more i came to my conclusion that i shoulda reraised pf......6 weeks ago i woulda :(

due to size of the pot, i was always gonna be calling it as i couldnt put him on a 4 despite the general donkiness of some of the 1/2 players there

anyways, i called him and of course i was beaten by the monster that is [9h] [8d] for a turned straight.......as it transpired, he ended up being a decent, very TAG player and this is what surprised me most when i looked back at it

this is where my pf reraise woulda come in handy and also why i generally like to reraise in that situation with any kinda playable hand at all against what seems like a typical LP steal attempt when someone posts.

In retrospect, I think you're right Growlers. I don't know what I would actually do, guess that's a coin-flip for me in the heat of the moment, but flat calling is probably higher EV than raising.

agree with marm/growlers, no need to 3-bet pf and no need to bet the river.

He could have AA or KK or QQ and been afraid of two pair on the turn.

I'll post in the CO, maybe CO+1... but anything closer you are not gaining enough EV from your position to make up for the posted bet. OF course this is for full ring... 6 max unless it's a really juicy game, theres no reason to post OOP.
