Second orbit at the 5/10 table. SB is a solid TAG whom I've played with quite a bit. MP is unknown, though in the short number of hands I've seen he has played a number of pots, so seems like a loose player, but again, it's early so that read is tentative.

MP limps, BTN limps, SB completes and I check in the BB with [Ks] [7c].

Flop: [7h] [7d] [4h] ($20)
SB bets, I raise, MP calls, BTN folds, SB calls.

Turn: [2c] ($50)
SB checks, I bet, both call

River [3h] ($80)
SB checks, bet?

My reasoning at the time: Flush draw and str8 draw just got there. Does MP have one? Seems likely, what the hell else does this guy have? Is really going to call a bet and raise with just a pp? Seems unlikely, so more likely that he has a draw, though he may have a 7. SB is a solid player, and has called my raise and turn bet, so he has a piece of this. Unlikely that he has just the 4 so he probably has one of the draws or a 7. They can't both have the 7, so one of them has the draw. So I elect to check and call MP's bet only if SB folds.

I agree with your reasoning. It sure looks like someones draw arrived. I wouldnt doubt SB was iniitially betting his draw either.

Turns out this one was also a situation where I think I could have gotten a call. SB had 55. I think he had me betting the flush draw (I do that, so perhaps that was his read?) MP had [Ad] [3c], I shit you not. Maybe a misclick on the flop?

This ones a head scratcher, but then again if villains made any sense we would not be able to beat this game.
