Bad fold? (live 3/6)

Postby shamdonk » Sun Feb 19, 2006 11:08 am

Villian is real tight semi agressive, I have about 5 table hours with her at the 3/6.
previous hands were
she posted when missing her blind I limped with 88 in mp. all folds to the bb who checks.
flop of T74 and 2 spades.
bb checks she leads I raise bb is all in and she calls.
turn is a 7 and she leads again. I fold. she showed 72 for the main pot.
second hand I raise TT ep and she called out of the bb and 5 see a flop of K J 3 she leads I fold and she shows down ak.

I have QQ in the cutoff with 1 limper I raise she's in the bb. bb and limper call.
flop: 743 rainbow checks to me I lead. she calls limper folds.
turn: 6 completing rainbow bb checks I bet she raises. I muck?
Xaston was behind me at the time saying it was an awful fold.
your thoughts?
Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

not very good.

she could have any PP... some beat you and some don't. she could have TP with some kind of suited hand (e.g., A7s). she could have overs and not believe you have a PP. she could tell that you're a wussy and could push you off winners.

etc.

etc.

you only have to be ahead 20% of the time for it to be a good call (seven current bets plus one from villain on the river to one bet now and one on the river for you for eight to two odds). plus you have outs to a lot of the holdings that currently are ahead (fives, queens, and the board pairing cards not in her hand are all possible outs).
wwcrd?

I've never played live but I imagine I'd have a damn tough time ever folding an overpair, maybe to like a 4 straight 4 flush board and even then it'd be tough.
