I can't be this bad at limit

Postby JJSCOTT2 » Wed Feb 01, 2006 3:59 pm

So I'm working on a 4,000 hand 150BB downswing at 1/2 right now, both Party and Stars combined. Literally nothing is working out it seems. I don't feel like I'm playing badly but I don't know if I'm playing great either because I haven't played that much limit in the past so I have nothing to compare it to.

Numbers:

VPIP: 15.18
VPIPSB: 32.69
W$WSF: 31.71
BB/100: (3.32)
WSD: 25.42
W$SD: 50.00

AKs-AJo are all in the postive, as are all suited aces except for A7s. I feel like things just aren't going my way a lot, like if im drawing to a lot of outs in a huge pot I'll miss, and conversely if I have the near nuts in a huge pot, that 4 outer will show up and I'll lose that one too, so either way, I don't get anything. I can't remember winning with a set, so that may be an issue too, I don't know. I'm gonna post my 5 biggest losers, so you can check them out and see if I'm just a complete limit retard or what.

Now that I think about it, they are all big pairs, so maybe this is an area of my game that needs work, like, folding them preflop lol. And not to mention, reading back through these hands, I feel like an idiot too, I think what's going on here, is when I have a good hand, I want to make sure I'm getting max value out of them if they are good, since so often I see people turn up such ludicrous crap even for 2 or 3 bets that I never know if someone is actually gonna show me a real hand or not.

This is what we call varience. If it makes you feel any better I dropped 200BB this month playing 6max. Its gonna happen from time to time. Also it looks like you slow play too much. Just because you have an overpair, you dont need to wait untill the river then start capping.

Just booked my first winning session in the past 8 sessions, 1.5 BB's in 800 hands....but hey its a start right. Now that I think about it, many of those hands were played badly but I'm not sure its necessarily a logical move to post the 5 hands where I lost the most because when I lose a lot there will probabaly be some obvious mistakes, I'm gonna go back through PT and post some more losers later.
