Ok, I noticed my PT stats showed I was a little tighter PF then I like. I had been folding med suited connectors from all positions, but this table was very LP so I thought it was safe to do...

here, I'm trying to limit the field...I thought about just calling (for odds and over calls which I got anyway )

No Flush, no pairs (no boats) I got the nuts...doesn't get any better

I am trying not to be results oriented on this hand and wasn't sure my PF and flop plays were decent...I'm usually very TAG (my old PT stats had me at 17%VPiP and that was well over 100K hands (don't exactly remember how many)...

Since I've started playing again, and reread SSHE, I've tried to loosen up a little with suited connectors and such...

Actually, I probably don't want to eliminate anyone here so I'd probably just call the flop unless you knew everyone was gonna call a raise. What hand are you looking to push out of the pot? If I had overs as outs, I may raise here.

why do you want to limit the field?

you have a draw to the nuts, you have no reason to push anyone out. redraws are extremely weak and will make a big mistake calling a single bet.

there may be reasons to raise, but thinning the field with an OENSD on a rainbow boards in not one them. You are not really cleaining up outs.

You can raise here for a free card or you can raise to disguise your hand, but you don't raise to push out gutshots, runner runners, overcards, or bottom pair overcard kicker.

I am with Beavis here. I can see raising if BB bet and the others called, but that really is raising for value. Why shut the other two players out of the pot when we need to improve to win the hand?
You have a good concealed draw (now MK will pipe in and tell me the draw is obvious like in that other thread ) but anyway back to the point - they will pay you off if you hit. Don't shut people out of the pot.
I think raising for a free card is overrated in general. I almost NEVER raise for a free card on the flop. It makes it obvious what you have to most players and makes it hard to get paid off on the river. That is like the first move these noobs learn and everyone immediately puts you on a draw.
