Or would you not have even played it?

I've been overplaying some hands lately and it's hurt me. Break time.

I play it the same until the turn. This is a perfect hand for someone with a king to slow play. He cold called 2 bets preflop so he should have some sort of hand and then he raises you on the turn which is a noramlly a big sign of a hand as there are no draws on the flop and just a backdoor flush draw on the turn. Therefore, I think I fold to his turn raise.

Agreed with Bri, this one should be folded on the turn. I'm really not sure why you called the turn but then folded the river. You definitely don't have odds to try to spike a nine, so unless you think there's a reasonable chance you have the best hand, just drop to his raise.

Tiburon:

I don't think calling down in this spot is bad. It is HU, you are against an unknown, the turn put up a spade draw, you are getting 9:2 to call it down. I don't play at pokerstars, so perhaps the typical player is very straight forward and would not play Asxs, or 55-88 this way. But at the party games I am familiar with, I am inclined to call this down against an unknown preflop cold caller.

But, like everyone else said....don't call the turn and fold the river (*maybe* if the river were a spade, but still probably not).

BTW--

He had 77, and I folded the best hand.
