re: the second hand, results are:

BB shows 3d 3s and wins 11.25 BB.

Sorry about that...

Anyway, in the first hand - it was actually 18:1 to make the call, whereas it's actually ~11.5:1 to catch the 2-outer by the river. So I think I was well within the odds to make the call. The only question might have been if I should have raised the flop - and with one overcard, and a pretty decent player leading out on the flop (TAAdude was playing a pretty solid tight/aggressive game), I had to give him serious credit for at least having a king. Truth is, I actually suspected he'd hit 2 pair, and since I didn't figure he would have seen a flop with K8, I was pretty sure he had KT. I guess what annoyed me was that I would have rivered the set if I'd stuck around for the river. But I was pretty confident in my read, and I didn't like that TAAdude was leading out every time. And on the turn, my odds would have to be at least 22:1 - but at this point, the pot was only giving me 11.5:1. Based on all of that I decided to ditch it. About this hand, I guess I wanted some reassurance that folding was, in fact, correct - as much as it sucked to have to do it (especially after watching that third Q pop on the river :x)

In the second hand - I saw the checest to just check itk-raise as representing a big flush draw - I thought he looked pretty good for [As][Js] or [As][Qs], or possibly even [As][Ks]. So I figured that since I'd had the best hand at the time, that I'd be best off capping it and making him pay to draw for the flush. Of course, the turn brought the flush card, and I was reasonably sure that he had a flush, so then, I thought I'd play it safe and just check it down. It *really* annoyed me when the river came [As], because at that point, I was virtually certain that the only way he could have played this was if he hit a smaller set, but with a single spade - which is, in fact, what happened. I would have been happier if I'd had the [Js] - I thought this was a pretty painful suckout - but I wasn't sure if I should have driven the action on 4th street - what do you guys think?
