I seldom cold call. I really fall into the category of "if it's good enough to call then I should be raising to get it heads up".

Exceptions: mid to low PP's with 1 or 2 cold callers in front of me since I will likely get the blinds to come along for the ride also.

AXS I avoid like the plague unless I can close the action and I have many CC's in front of me.

I know you see the donks winning big hands after cold calling, but you are forgetting the other ten times they pissed money away in this spot. They are donks........don't let their lucky pots fool you.

at FR, im rarely gonna CC due to lots of reasons, which i tried to put in words but most of which Ant has kindly written in nicer language than i could manage. :)

at 6max, with perhaps 2-4 loose/very loose players, i feel like its a completely different story.

UTG maniac comes in for his normal pf raise, you're in UTG+1 with a small pair, you call his raise, button donk also calls as he always does, blinds feel compelled to join in the fun.........u hit your set, you're gonna take down a big pot cos some of these guys cant let their AK or TP go......u miss, you can let go quite cheaply.

basically, its worth CCing when you know theres gonna be 2-3 more in with you and you know it WILL win a big pot when you hit.

in LP, with a similar scenario, Axs can be somewhat playable the same way if theres 2-3 callers already and the blinds are again gonna feel compelled to join in the fun and games.

thats my opinion anyway and it has nothing to do with witnessing how the donks make their pretty little hands every once in a while.......

really, at 6max, its all about who else is at the table but im finding that there are generally those 2-4 donks with perhaps 1 decent player and me, the pokery genius
