Hi guys,

My pokertracker is in the green !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I clawed back from about $60 down to about $10 up - I know that this is a small sample etc, but I don't care, I have spent every moment of my limit career in the red - so I will not be discouraged  I have stopped calling down so much which is helping, which brings me to the next type of call down, have I played this hand correctly?

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with [As], [Jd].
2 folds, Hero raises, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, 3 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) [Jh], [8h], [Kh] (4 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, MP3 raises, BB folds, Hero folds, MP2 calls.

Turn: (6.75 BB) [Qs] (2 players)
MP2 checks, MP3 bets, MP2 calls.

River: (8.75 BB) [2h] (2 players)
MP2 checks, MP3 checks.

Final Pot: 8.75 BB

Nah i wouldnt fold this immediately here, id call the flop raise and see the turn...If my hand didnt improve on turn / got worse (as yours did) id fold to a turn bet in a threeway pot...Id hope the raisor from position would check the turn behind, which he would probably do if he was facing two players with the naked [Ah] lets say, then id probably either bet the river or check/call the river if i was inna pussy mood, i dno- but folding here with three hearts on the flop to a position raise is premature imho, because its too easy for him to have a a big heart only, or maybe a big heart and a worse pair type hand, like [Qh] [Jc] - I wouldnt put the caller in the middle on a hand that beats you since he hasnt raised (cept in unlikely event he was slowplayin a monster like 88), so id pretty much worry bout the last dood, and i think you gain alot of much needed information by calling his raise here and seeing what he does on the turn, and folding is giving up too easily. Youve got best hand too often here to just fold outright imho.

What i am guessing probably happened here was the PF raisor ended up having a king and the middle position caller ended up having a shitty heart (which i think is most probable, and makes him a total donk in this spot) or else JT or somethin (which also makes him a donk but not as bad of one).

Well, let's assume for a minute that the villians in question have something. On a three flush board, "something" would be defined as a flush, a top two flush card, an open end straight draw, two pair, a set, top pair, or middle pair good kicker.
So:
Q10
910
88
JJ
KK
K8
KJ
Kx
j8
Ahx
Qhx
QJ
Aj
Ak
KQ

It is hard to find two hands here you beat at this time. Even if you are ahead, many cards kill you and there are two chances for them to get them. If you are behind, the only outs you have is Ac or Ad - but that gives Q10 a straight, and Ak a higher two pair.
The only real outs are JcJs and if you are behind to a made flush or a set they are not outs, and they have redraws at the river. So all of your outs are heavily tanted.

So really we are not counting outs, we are taking a guess at our modified outs. You essentially need perfect perfect, so I would say our modified outs are 1-2 total.

Hey guys,

I have what looks to me an identical situation - so I thought I would give you a look and ask if there is anything different here that makes this worth a look at the turn, from my point of view, I thought the pot was small and I wasn't beating much -

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with [Tc], [Ac].
5 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) [Kh], [9h], [Th] (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero folds, SB folds.

Final Pot: 3.50 BB

Results in white below:
No showdown. BB wins 3.50 BB.

I played a hand almost exactly like this last night. I raised, he called. A heart came on the turn, he checked, I bet, he called, and I decided he wasn't folding his K. He had AK. I wouldn't expect BB to have the flush here, but I think I misplayed it last night. I wouldn't expect most players to muck top pair at this level, so prolly not worth it.
