Preflop thru Turn: Yep I like it.

River: Ouch 4.5 to 1. Just joining the table makes me call but I think otherwise I fold.
I do not think, therefore I am not.

Well, when he calls on the flop I think there's only 3 types of hands you can put him on. (1) He's got you beaten with either an 8 or an ace, (2) He's on the flush draw, or (3) he's got a low pair. I like your flop bet and turn check, but I think that river call is pretty marginal. The Q and J make things uglier, but I doubt they're what beat you. Other than a smaller pocket pair, I really just don't see a whole lot you're beating here.

EDIT: I should note that this isn't always a bad call. Some players, especially when defending their blind, will almost always call a flop bet even if it utterly missed them and they have no decent draw. If he's one of these players, it's certainly worth a call. But without knowing that, I'd say you're best off folding.

Yeah this was a tough one. I think a laydown was probably in order though.

He showed [Kh][Qh].
