Let's play......"WTF Is This?"

Postby MTPaid » Sat Mar 24, 2007 5:47 pm

Some strange people come out of the woodwork on weekends. playing some strange poker. So can you guess......

"WTF Is This?"

Hand 1: [Kd][Ts] in BB 7 handed.
Here is my only previous encounter with opponent. Button raise, 3-bet the turn, fold to scary river although I suspect I was ahead all the way.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?934542
SB is 21/10/36 over 50 hands

CO open-limps, SB calls, I check
[6c][Ad][4s] Pot 3 SB
Checked around
[Th] Pot 1.5 BB
SB checks, I bet, CO folds, SB check-raises...........WTF Is This????
What hand could he check twice on an unraised board trying to get in a c/r?
Fold or find out?

Hand 2: [Qd][Qh] in BB
UTG+1 is 26/14/33 only 40+ hands. Had seen him 3-bet OTB frequently.
UTG+1 limps, folded to me and I raise from BB, UTG+1 3-bets, I cap
[Kd][7d][Kh] Pot 8.5 SB
I bet, UTG+1 calls.........WTF is this????
Turn [9s] Pot 5.25 BB
I s this a slow play or AA? Bet or check?

Hand 3: [Ad][Kc] UTG+1
I raise, folded to BB (25/4/30 just over 100 hands) who calls
[2s][Ks][5c] Pot 4.5 SB
Naturally BB donks into EP stealer, I just call
[3s] Pot 3.25 BB
BB bets, I raise, BB calls
[Qc] Pot 7.25 BB
SB checks, this card just made me feel all funny. I didn't like it. Can't give a good reason.........."WTF is this?"
Bet or check behind?

Hand 1: His aggro with nothing in the previous hands tells me this guy is one of those folks who will check any strong hand and bet any air.......superficial read, but all I have is what youve given me.

I am thinking this guy hit a set or something like A6 or A4 on the flop and is slowplaying. Bad players who think they are good do this shit all the time.

Hand 2:This is either KK or AA 95% of the time.....the limp re-raise that is. He either flopped quads and is slowplaying you, or he has AA and is afraid you have a K. Either way you are behind. I check here......call or fold is up to you if you want to look him up and see what he limp RR's with.

Hand 3: I dont like that Q either. KQ is a poss here. A read would be helpful, its probably your hand, but I dont like that Q either..i wont kill u if u check behind.

Last time I got yelled at by Pok for not waiting long enough to give results. I figured 2 days is long enough.

Hand 1: No idea. Wasn't worth paying 2 bets in a small pot. He at least had Ax. Still really wanted to know what would possess him to check twice.

Hand 2: Geiststaat, I'm not sure if you read it right or if I mis-understood you. He limp/re-raised preflop. Anyway, I checked turn and he checked behind. I bet river and he folded. WTF???

Hand 3: I checked thinking KQ. We were wrong Ant. He had [Qs][7s] for the flush. He must have feared a bigger flush when I raised turn. I still like my turn raise here though. I've been constantly being donked into and waiting until the turn to raise has had a much better result so far than raising flop. They seem to respect the turn raise more. Sometimes I'll give away a card that beats me, but not often enough heads up. He was going to get his flush anyway and I wouldn't have lost any less in this situation.
