3/6 limit 9-handed, AA UTG

Postby Danhdan » Tue Apr 11, 2006 3:34 am

Situation arose with some all in players...was wondering what the best move is in this circumstance.

I raise UTG w/ [Ah] [As] , fold, UTG+2 call all in for $7, MP calls, MP+1 calls, Co folds, button folds, SB folds BB calls.

Flop is [6s] [3s] [2h] . BB checks, I bet, call, call, BB call.

Turn is [2d] . BB checks, I bet, call, call, BB checkraises.

BB isn't a horrendous player, but is still pretty bad sometimes although I don't think he would ever CR with a draw. He has only $6 left after this CR.

Plan? My thoughts were call or reraise in this spot...

Live? He has $18 left and there are three turn bets in front and he checkraises? I put him on a draw, but he might be way ahead here leaving you drawing to 2 outs. Thing is he is a decent player, and his PF call is correct with just about any two getting 9:1 and closing the betting, so you really can't put him on anything.

If this is live CA no foldem, which it certainly seems to be, I reraise. Villian can't pop you back, and you were going to call this bet and the end no matter what, so make any other draws pay the maximum to get to SD. Your aces up are good here at least 50% of the time.

I dunno dude. IN live CA no foldem holdem, a field CR on the turn into four players when any pair on the board gets there pretty much means your playin for the side pot. Theres no way aces are good 50% of the time here, not even close. Hes still got a bet in his stack, and can call a threebet, and the other mizors may or maynot have hands they are willing to showdown and/or call three bets with if you decide to repop it. Ive played an assload of CA no foldem holdem--and i gotta say, i think id muck this hand.

The thing that leads me to believe that the AA is still good here is that villian is down to the felt. Guys in these games do all kinds of stupid shit when they are down to their last few chips, including checkraising the field on the come.

I'll have to agree with MK here I think those Aces hit the muck in this situation. If the guy didn't have the remaining 6.00 left for an additional bet I might go ahead and rerasie to create a side pot with the other folks but in this situation I think you just toss them.

emmasdad-

The Phoenix Casino in Citrus Heights is the best cardroom in sac. The action is insane, the food is free, the drinks are cheap, and the 10/20 kill game was the biggest game in town (at least as of when i lived up there, which was like up till a year ago or so). Also, it has jackpots that actually hit, and the kitchen is open 24 hours. The Capitol is the nut low dude....gotta plug the ole phoenix, spent lots of time there when i shoulda been in class. Meh...
