KK misplayed?

ok MecosKing, I will try and help you out with keeping the limit forum breathing a bit while piers is gone. Not that piers is the only person who posts' stuff, but I think everybody has been working on thier NL game as of late so the limit forum is getting a bit dry. I'll throw up a few hands. Observations and criticisms welcome.

Here we go.....

PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with [Kd], [Kc]. UTG posts a blind of $0.02.
UTG (poster) checks, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, 1 fold, Button calls, 2 folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls.

Flop: (11.50 SB) [5d], [7d], [3h] (5 players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets, Button calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls.

Turn: (7.75 BB) [4c] (4 players)
UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

River: (7.75 BB) [Ad] (4 players)
UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets, Hero folds, Button folds, UTG+1 folds.

Final Pot: 8.75 BB

Results in white below:
MP1 doesn't show.
Outcome: MP1 wins 8.50 BB.

The river is the Ace of Diamonds, I can't get the hand converter to work right.
Ok here's my thinking. I know that saving bets is just as important as winning bets for a limit hold'em player.

With 3 other people in the hand, when the turn card hits for the straight draw I don't want to get check raised by a straight chaser, but there is also a flush draw out there. I decided a check was the best play here. Comments on that? This is not playing weak is it?

The river card completes any hand that beats me. I think the fold is pretty obvious but I would like to hear some other comments about this hand.

i still bet that turn. I know that you got a lot of callers and that the 4 completes a straight draw but it completes a gutshot draw, not an opened draw. I think you are giving people a free card that may other have a pair and/or a flush draw. If i get raised on the turn, I would likely fold if I haven't seen him do something like that before. Plus, it might get you a free showdown if you want it on the river. On the river, i fold but I think it was the diamonds that killed you, not really the ace.

Ah, the crappy part of limit. This is the part where even if you DID bet the turn, you couldn't bet enough to get the opponent off their hand. That being said, I agree with bri, you should've bet that turn. Don't give up a free card on a scary board.

The crappy part is that the only things I worry about are an Ace in hand or two diamonds. Either one beats you. If somebody's chasing with 75s, you're going to pay them off.

But, in this case, if they want to see the river, make them pay for it.
