I think barring some special read you should continue here. He could have raised/ smooth called pf AK, KQ, AQ, AJ, etc. as well as AA-TT (or smaller pairs). The range I listed is probably pretty tight for a raise in 6h from the CO. The 9s isn't a bad card for you if you aren't beat by the K, 2p, or a set as there is no straight yet.

At FR at those limits plenty of players will CR flop as a bluff or with any pair HU. I would expect the play to be more prevalent 6 handed. You should make a note of how he plays it if you get a SD and then see if he's smart enough to vary the play. I will sometimes call the raise on the flop and then raise the turn with a good hand....very rarely as a bluff/semi-bluff. It works well against the big aggros and badly against the straightforward players. The point is, if he isn't the type who only raises here with a set, 2p, or better he could be raising with, say, 88. More to see if he's the best hand than to see if he can get you off TT, JJ etc., but that does happen and makes the semi-bluff raise there a more profitable play. Until you get your reads down well just expect to be playing in higher variance situations and while it won't pay you to be doing alot of bluff catching I think you may be best here still.

This is where reads become important, if he was a mainiac with a VPIP of 40+ and raised everything constantly I'd more than likely call down. If he was a tighter player and basically straightfoward we can probably give him credit for pairing a K with a good kicker. If he was real strong and was smart however the better play would've probably been to check/call the flop and CR the turn which would get him more bets. So that's where the possiblity of him bluffing or semi-bluffing come into play. More often than not though generally against an average player he probably has a K in his hand we're really not playing at a level where people are usually getting creative.
