Was this a good spot for the ole check call line?

I understand your thinking, but I hate getting involved passively like this with an easily dominated hand.
I raise preflop after a fishy button first-in limp and then of course the hand plays differently - just bet out every street until you are raised and then maybe you can think about calling down.
If for some reason I limped like you did I would have checkraised the flop. I am experimenting more with calling down, in fact just before I read this one I started a thread with that kind of hand, but I hate to do this with this kind of board.
