Opponent was like a 40/20, not good.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed)

Preflop: Hero is Button with [Qh], [Qc].
1 fold, MP raises, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, MP caps, CO calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (13.50 SB) [2c], [Jd], [9d] (3 players)
MP bets, CO calls, Hero raises, MP calls, CO calls.

Turn: (9.75 BB) [9s] (3 players)
MP checks, CO checks, Hero bets, MP calls, CO folds.

River: (11.75 BB) [Ad] (2 players)
MP bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13.75 BB

I really wanted to fold but I tossed the $20 out there and looked him up. Bad call right?

I don't mind this call so much as the pot is quite big, I think he'll have a J or missed straight here enough times to be profitable.

xas, 2+2ers routinely bet at scarecards like the A/flush card. i think you've got to call in a pot this big unless you have a solid read that he only bets with the goods. you called him an idiot, so i guess that this is not the case.

if he has you beat, it's with trip nines. if he has the trips, i think he missed a bet on the turn. that, or he could be semi-bluffing at the scare cards with two pair.
wwcrd?
