Sandwiched between a donk and a TPA

Postby antneye » Thu Apr 12, 2007 6:58 pm

Edited to revise my read on MP2: At the time he seemed TAA to me, but his final stats say otherwise. I like analyzing it from the perspective of TAA since that was my read, but heres the final #'s if it makes a difference

MP2 is decent but nothing special 17.65/0/8. Very passive pre flop and aggro post. SB is Captain Donkamerica running at 86/0/0.28 WSD 70.45 W$SD 38

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) from (Format: Bet The Pot)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with [Kc], [Qc].
Hero raises, 2 folds, MP2 calls, 3 folds, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (7 SB) [Qh], [8h], [4c] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP2 raises, SB calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (6.50 BB) [4d] (3 players)
SB bets, Hero?

I'd 3 bet the flop just for pure value. You have a decent chance of being ahead of MP, and getting 2 to 1 on the bet makes it a nice proposition.

As played, I like raising the turn and folding to a 3 bet from either player.
