Wondering what you guys use as a general line? Since I'm playing 6 max exclusively for the purpose of this excercise let's consider we're either HU or against 2 fairly LAG or just loose opponents. Figure something like a limper and the BB or both blinds. Here's the scenario:
We raise PF from LP and hit TPTK/TPGK with 2 rags (AK, AQ, AJ, KQ...around that range) on a flop with 2 of the same suit and we have neither suit in our hand and no folds.
Now the turn puts 3 of the same out there.
1. Do you bet or check behind? and If you get CRed do you call down or dump it there?
2. If you check behind what's your play if:
1st to acts bets and 2nd calls do you overcall?
2nd to act bets, you call and 1st to act CR?
I find this to be a tricky spot at times, I have a tough time checking behind here because if someone didn't complete their flush on the turn they might now be 4 flushed and checking gives them a free draw to the river. On the flip side it can be an good semi-bluff raise from one of the earlier position players. Especially if they lead again on the river whether they made a flush or not.
Again I realize it depends like anything else..... we're talking general strategy here. In theory most flops shoud be missing people the majority of the time anyway although I'm begining to think that's just a hoax :wink.:
