AA

Postby gadzooks64 » Wed Mar 14, 2007 8:59 pm

Tell me what I should have done differently.

I think I played it horribly but I'm not sure I would have won any more had I played it differently. Anymore when I get AA at a limit table I'm hoping not to lose my ass.

This is a KK hand that almost made me hurl.

I think I would raise the turn w/ AA there for sure. I'm probably raising the flop as well, just because of the potential draws out there. Why didn't you raise? I'm just curious what your thought process is on this hand.

Ummm..... raise the flop!!

I really don't want to be playing AA mutiway if I can help it. If people want to call 2 cold after I rase then so be it.

I know when you've been taking a beating sometimes it can have an effect on the way you play a hand. But seriously not raising here is a big mistake as far as I'm concerned. The only possible good thing here is you managed to keep people in and call all the way down which probably made you more $. However it makes your chances of getting outdrawn go up. If someone had 8x and decided they weren't going to call 2 back to them after you raised the flop you probably would've been pissed you didn't pop it on the flop.

As far as your KK hand.....well many people here are familiar with my feelings on KK. Check the sticky about the guide to playing limit poker that MTPaid has up

No doubt about it, you have to raise the flop!

You have a vulnerable hand on a scary ass board. Many draws are looking to crush you. You need to charge them and hopefully get them to fold. You only need to save a pot once in a while for the bet to be worth it! You got to think long term... :-k

The KK hand was well played all along!

You say u win bigger pots with T8s than with AA...

I would go so far to say that if u eliminated AA (and perhaps KK) from the cards u get dealt u wouldn´t make any money in the long run, period.

Just play +20.000 hands using pokertracker and see what hand make u the most money.... AA is the biggest winner out there!

Stop this whining about AA losses and thank the pokergods every time u get dealt the pocket rockets!
