Im fine with this...if he doesnt have the 8 hes not payin you a crapload anyway and may bluff off chips to you...if he has the 8, then no use losing $98109829...you played this fine imho

He's a guy who plays (or used to play) 5/10-10/20 with me and thinks i'm horrible and a couple of times asked me how often i have to redeposit.

I like it, plus you might induce a bluff on the river. Could we fold to a four-bet? With no reads we can't, if we had a read would this be a decent line to take? Not sure.
