Preflop: I always raise the pot with AKo in any position.
Flop: You bet the pot, fine, and got 2 callers.
Turn: A nearly blank card hit, you bet again the pot, fine.
River: gufaccio called you down to the river. What could he held? Maybe a club or two pairs. Therefore, I would check, he would only call your river bet when you are beat and therefore I think you waste money.

Conclusion (at least mine): Preflop and river I would have played differently, Flop and Turn was fine.

I agree that your betting was fine. You are probably up against a worse ace, though I would also suspect a busted draw. If he shows you a J he is a crappy player, and you should look forward to taking his money later on.

My main problem with your play is in limping AK. The only reason to do this is if you are gonna check/fold if you miss. I prefer a raise here because it gives me a couple of ways to win the pot. You have to remember that AK is not a made hand, but it is the best drawing hand. By raising you can isolate worse aces and small pp's. You really want to do this because if you hit, you will likely win, and if you miss you can bluff at the pot and possibly win. Bluffing on the flop will often make the small pp's fold, even though they have you beat. Your worst case scenario with AK (other than being up against AA or KK) is someone hitting a random sort of starting hand against you, like a suited connector. I want to get these hands out pre-flop, or at least make them pay to play. True you will have to bet blind if you miss your flop, but this is a +ev play with this holding.

Thanks for all the responses, to those who like raising pf my thinking is that i dont like to play TPTK like hands out of position against multiple players for a big pot, thats why i chose to limp.

Results are that he thought for a while on the river and then called and mucked, he mucked A3.
Raise.

I won more money limping with Ak and beating a weaker ace, than I do raising AK.
