What is with the increasing number of all in bluffs with a gutshot i've been seeing lately, has someone tampered with the water is Switzerland?
At least six times in a week, I've called an all in with AK unimproved at least three times myself to be staring at Ax with some goofy gutshot. Not that I'm in the habit of calling AK unimproved but I've smelled shenigans on the ones I have called. These aren't very short stack players, they often have about 3/4 buy in.
The action normally goes like this, I re-raise a min raiser or some such with AK to 5x and the raise, two people call, I miss make a continuation bet, limper raises all in, min-raiser folds, I try to guess if I have outs left, and call.
Is this play more frequent than I thought? Or am i just running into buffons more than normal? On the downside, I've been gutshot left and right today in hands that don't involve AK.
