How would you expert BTPrs play this one? Did I play it right? Villain was not slightly loose aggressive.


Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 6 handed)

SB ($95.1)
Hero ($89.25)
UTG ($63.5)
MP ($76.56)
CO ($106.55)
Button =#A500AF(Villan)/ ($65.09)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [Qs], [9s]. SB posts a blind of $0.5.
1 fold, MP calls $1, 1 fold, Button =#A500AF(Villan)/ raises to $2, 1 fold, Hero calls $1, MP calls $1.

Flop: ($6.50) [Qc], [7s], [Js] (3 players)
Hero bets $6, MP folds, Villan raises to $12, Hero calls $6.

Turn: ($30.50) [5h] (2 players)
Hero bets $9, Villan raises to $18, Hero calls $9.

River: ($66.50) [8c] (2 players)
Hero checks, Villan checks.

Final Pot: $66.50

Results in white below:
Hero has Qs 9s (one pair, queens).
Villan has 7c 7h (three of a kind, sevens).
Outcome: Villan wins $66.50.

I do not bet out again on the turn. I don't think this accomplishes anything accept allows him to raise you again. If you knew he was a chronic min raiser (which he seems to be) you could use this to control the size of his bet so you have odds to chase your flush.

To be honest, I lean towards folding preflop but I'm not used to 6 handed games so I don't know if that is overly tight to a min raise. However, looking for a good flop isn't bad if you are a good postflop player. That said, I call the flop raise and my actions are determined by his turn bet as I would check to him. Since he's a min raiser, they often don't bet correctly so he would have probably made it cheaper for you to draw than the $18 you ended up paying.
