HH Converter seems to be broken...

Minimal reads on the room. I see the QQ and figure I raise big to try to take the pot now. If I miss, I'll bet at the flop to see where I stand.

They both called (not raised) my X-large PF raise and I saw a check and a weak bet on the flop. The flop was a disaster, but the earlier weakness made me think a check raise would fold them out and give me a pretty decent pot. If I get a call, I do have some solid outs to fall back on, but I'm likely a serious dog.

To them, I was representing AA or KK and the check raise on the flop completes that picture. The only hand that I was worried about was KK. Even an idiot would have gone re-raised (probably all-in) my $8 PF raise with AA. Worst case, AA is all-in at the flop. KK, might smooth call the PF raise, but I not seeing the weak bet as KK.

BTW - The chat sounded really weak to me as well.

Is this lucky foolishness or just good read with big balls

I almost never show, but I thought it might be worth it to rattle 'em a bit.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the play because of the flop. Usually, if you raise X4 you are expecting a call with KK, JJ, AA , AK etc and any one of those beat you here.

I think you got away with it here (nice reads), but that's a situation where you can get killed later.
