No real read on Villan as he just sat down about 5 hands ago. He has $30 and has me covered.

NL$25 on Empire

Couple people limp in, Villan raises to $1 from MP, 3 folds to me. I reraise to $2 with [Jh] [Jd] (For the record I don't like my min reraise here...I don't believe it accomplished anything). One of the limpers calls and Villan Calls.

Pot = $6.35
Flop [3d] [4h] [2s]
Limper bets .75, villan cold calls, I raise to $3 (good move?). Limper folds and villan just cold calls again.

Pot = $13.10
Turn = [Kh]
Villan checks, I check???

River = [6d]
Villan bets $12. Hero??? I know I enticed this bet with the check on the turn, but I think I am beat here. There are so many hands that beat me.

What's the play?

Raise more or flat call preflop
Raise more on the flop
The turn is ok based on the previous action and I would fold the river.

With that betting sequence at this level he could have anything from KK to a hand with a 5 in it, like A5 suited. If you intend to go fwd with this hand, I think you need to bet at least half the pot on the turn. The way it played out, with the check, I think he probably read you as weak. But without betting at it, there's no way to determine his hand. In this context I think its a good fold.

Agreed with iceman on every point.....

I fold the river because the draw hit..and an overcard...

true you enticed a bet but there is so much out there beating you.
