Did he flush me?

Postby iceman5 » Sat Mar 01, 2008 7:30 am

$1/$2 NL 6 max at Full Tilt.

Folded to the blinds. The SB completes and i check my massively profitable [4h][2c] in the BB. We have $200 each.

Pot $4. Flop [6s][5h][3s]. Did I mention that 4,2 was massively profitable? He bets $4. I raise to $14 and he calls.

Pot $32. Turn [Qs]. He leads $10. Whats my plan from here?

Raise? I dont want him to hit a 4th spade but Im not sure I should be raising here since I dont want to call a reraise.

Call turn and call modest river bet (bet if he checks)?

I think that if you raise turn you will most likely make villain fold everything you beat unless he is super bad. If we assume that he would already make a move with 2 pair or better on flop for most part, so his range there is TP or 2ndpair, flush or 4x trying to draw to its str8 cheap.
Given that neither 4x nor TP or 2nd pair can stand raise I think that raising turn seems bad. I would probably call and possibly fold to river bet if he bets again(opponent dependent). If you would get some read by his river bet. (i.e. he bets 1/2 or less I would probably call..If he pots it then I'm not sure what to do with no reads). Probably fold.
