Flopped Flush But River Pairs (200NL)

Postby T-Rod » Fri Jan 11, 2008 2:40 pm

200NL Caker.

I posted a hand earlier this week where I had a flopped straight and the board paired on the river. Well guess what happend here.

I have K[d] 5[d] in the BB and check. Villian limped MP and has a full stack. No read.

Flop ($7). 9[d] 4[d] 2[d]. I lead $6. Villain calls.

Turn ($19). 7[c]. I lead $15. He calls.

River ($49). 9[c]. I lead $35 and he now min raises to $70.

Call?
Push?
Fold (gulp)?

I would call again. He can easily have something like [Ad][9s].

If you lost this one, you might want to do one of 2 things.

1) Keep track of every single river min raise you call and keep track of results
2) Never ever call a river min raise. Either shove or fold depending what you have.

So I'm clear... we think that A9 type hands raise here instead of flat calling?

Do you guys raise with A[d] 9[s] there?

Probably because I don't necessarily put you on a flush.
