Flush on paired board...action

Postby iceman5 » Sat Apr 05, 2008 8:44 am

$1/$2 NL 6 max.

UTG raises $7. Its 4 handed. SB who is a total fish calls. I have no read on UTG other than he raises a bit more than normal and doesnt seem to be overly good / aggressive post flop. I call in the BB with [Qs][Js].

Pot $21. Flop [8s][8d][6s]. SB leads $2. I raise to $16. UTG cold calls. SB also calls.
Pot $69. Turn [Ks]. SB checks, I bet $42. They both call.
Pot $195. River [Ac]. SB checks. SB has $95 left. I have $140, UTG has about $130.

Anyone not shove all in here?

Fold PF.
Shove.
Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

Not much you can do but shove. I would play this hand in this spot...folding this pre is a missed opportunity IMO.
Villain: Why?
Villain: How?
Me: I had a feeling
Villian: Sit in you cretin

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
