Getting maximum value from 99 thanks to GT+

Postby Stoneburg » Fri Jul 22, 2005 7:20 pm

$20 at Prima, table is loose and somewhat aggressive. I'm in the SB with 99. LAG in CO limps in, I complete and the BB checks.

Flop comes [3h] [Ad] [7h]. I bet the pot, BB folds, CO flat calls.

My stats on CO tells me he would raise with any Ace here, the fact that he limped in means he didn't have a PP. Most likely he's on the flush draw

Turn is [2c], pot is $1.80 and I bet $1.60. Co flat calls.

Should still be safe to bet, only 45 was helped there. When he just flat calls he must have nothing yet

River is [Js], I check, he bets $2 into the $5 pot, I call. He shows [6h] [5h] for the busted draw, I drag the pot and he starts cussing me out for calling.

Obviously I'm going to check/call the river. If he paired the J he won't bet it since I've been representing the Ace, if he's got a busted draw he's likely to bluff it. Damn I love PT and GT+!! I can't believe I've been playing for 2 years without live updates! I would not have been able to play this hand like this without it.

Don't get spoiled on it.... attempt to observe and compare what you think with what it shows. That is how I use pokertracker, as a tool to check what I am observing, sometimes I'm surprised as to the PT results compared to my observations, most times they are about right.
