Postby kennyg » Fri Feb 18, 2005 12:56 am

Ok, I'm doing it again. The contest ends on Sunday at 2am..once again..answers can be repeated. I will transfer teh money via pokerstars.

ok here goes.

I had been playing wildly all day, brunson style very aggressive..

I have $230
Opponent has me covered. He has played pretty decently and has a nice stack to show for it.

1/2 NL Prima

Folded to me, I raise from UTG+3 my standard $8. My opponent calls in the cutoff.

FLOP $17.5
[Td][As][Tc]

I check. Opponent checks behind.

TURN $17.5
[Td][As][Tc][3h]

I check. Opponent bets $16. I raise to $68. Opponent calls.

RIVER $153.5
[Td][As][Tc][3h][Js]

I move all-in for about $150. Opponent calls.

I win. I like posting hands I win..can you blame me? :)

Now what did we have? $5 to the winner!! and I'll split it if i have to :)

You had two cards that made a better five card hand than his two cards.

Tokenizer on Stars. :D

Since you said you were playing aggresive it's almost impossible to guess but I'm going to go along the lines of all that play setup this hand in which you got paid off on your monster.

You = AA
Him = JTs

Just to be different since the obvious ones are taken:

You: AA
Him: JJ
Brian [Js][9s]

I wanted to come up with something different, but all I can see is AA vs JT.

But no. My final answer is this: AA vs AT. Total insanely wonderfully perfect flop for you to take all his money. You both tried to slowplay each other, but all the $$ was going in eventually. The only problem with this theory is I think he might have re-raised you on the turn with his AT. Anyway, I'm sticking with that guess.

I tried real hard to put you on a serious Doyle Brunson style move with KQ. But you don't go all-in on a straight with the boat possibilities out there. And if you do, you don't deserve to win the hand -- so you don't post it. :)

ahhh, K3nt beat me to it...i guessed YOU AA HIM A10, before i read the rest of the thread....ok so i'll say AA vs A10suited (since he may have folded an A10offsuit preflop)
