I've just played a hand, and it`s given me something to think about. Online, 50c/$1nl, and an unknown player (who has $80 at this $100 capped buyin.. I have him covered). I find AKos in mid position, and unknown villain, who I know little about, but seems 1/2 decent, raises to $5 pf. I call, and we see flop heads up.
Pot $16
Flop comes AA5 rainbow. He bets $5 (now I know he`s a bad? player), and I make it $15. He calls. Turn is a 10, giving no flush draws, He bets $10 into this pot, and I'm sure I'm winning. I'm hoping to trap AQ, ot worse, if he`s a worse player. I make it $40, he raises all-in, and shows A5, giving him the boat. Given that there was no K, Q or J on board, the boat caught me unawares. Am I right in always playing for my stack in this situation? If the money were deeper, maybe I'd play different, but I cant see me ever folding in this type of situation. Comments or advice?
