I have A high and want to call? (400NL 5-max)

Villain is a donk. He floats a lot, doesn't seem to like folding. He also seems more aggro on the river than he should be.

Anyway, I raise AJo to $15, he calls in position. He runs 50/25.

Flop is [8s][4s][5d] Pot $34.

I CB $25, he snap calls.

Turn [Qh]. pot $84

I decide to double barrel this card. He has floated a lot. I bet $58. Probably not the best idea against a guy that doesn't like to fold, but whatever.

River [9d]. pot $200

I wanted to 3-barrel here as I don't think villain has anything...maybe a pair of 8s at the most. I had a smallish (~half pot) bet in the bet box and hit the bet button just as I timed out. I insta-sat back in. Villain bets $100. Hero???

I figure he almost never has a hand that should be betting this river (maybe AQ occasionally) so he must figure he needs to bluff. He may even be bluffing because he thinks I am still sitting out and will insta-fold whatever I've got. I am putting him on a flush draw with no pair. I'm almost 100% sure he doesn't have a set due to his instacalls.

Bottom line: I botched the hell out of this hand, but now I want to call. My spidey sense is tingling so to speak. But should I call or shove the river? Or should I just fold and move on? Does anyone like my 3-barrel (if I had actually done it  )

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

I think that as played you should call, but I wouldn't be happy about it, I've seen people VB small hands like A9 in that place.

Another big question is your 2 barrels against this player, flop CB could be standard, still on such a draw heavy board it is quite questionable (once again his CS tendeencies make it questionable). On the turn your bet is going to be called like always by weak made hands and draws alike making your life extremely hard on the river.
