I think 98o is a reasonable LP hand, so I don't have any problem with limping there.

I raise the flop hard. There's $2.40 in the pot coming to you, so I'd make it $2.80 or just round it up to $3. But that's the end of this hand if I get playback. I'm pretty much check-folding after that (small bets and no additional spade don't count).

I had a rather similar one where I got involved in calling very weak flop betting without raising and ended up losing $400 on stupidity, so don't feel too bad (very different kind of board, but the same principle).

My opinion on these things: Either raise it or fold it (immediately in either case).

In hindsight I think I should have played it like this:

Preflop
That's fine. I always limp connectors OTB and in CO in multiway unraised pots

Flop
Raise to $2.80, fold if re-raised.

Turn
If checked to me, bet 1/2-3/4 pot.
Fold to any action.

River
If checked to, check behind.
If bet into, fold.

The way I play it is just wrong on every damn street. Well, except preflop if that counts as a street. And the 'valuebet' on the river? Shesh. The *only* concievable hand that will call me that I beat there is [As] [6c]... my defense is that I was pretty sure I was ahead, but that's no excuse for a "bet that can't be right".

My intent with the flat call on the flop was to raise big on a non-spade turn, which may not have been a completely retarded idea but when the board paired my brain short circuited and defaulted into fish mode. Obviously I don't just have a reptile brain but a pisces one as well. Then I wake up on the river and realise I have the best hand, and try to get value for it when there's no chance anyone will pay off with a worse hand.

Raise the flop, raise the turn, check/call the river.

I think you just got it out of order on this one. :)
