Maybe I am a bit too result oriented in this hand. He had [Kd] [Qd] and had no problem finding the call button, but I was very surprised. With his super-low vpip and pfr I would never have thought that he'd both raise KQ utg, and stand a re-raise with it. I was almost certain that he had QQ-KK, maybe AK, since I figured he wouldn't even raise JJ utg.

If he had been sitting on QQ or KK with either of them in diamons, my play would have been correct, same if he has AK with a diamond. The only hand I should be beaten by here is [Ad] [Kd]...

If I had bet the pot and he had check-raised all-in, I would have put him on a draw and called him. If he flat calls, I'm probably screwed anyway unless there's a diamond on the turn allowing me to release... this must be why KK is much more profitable for me ;)

I like a pot sized bet more then a check.

If you check and it is a diamond...you can be bluffed out of the pot by a worse hand.

By betting the flop you gain information and a chance to win the hand right there.

I was also suprised to hear he had [Kd[Qd]. I'm sure I would have lost all my money here too..barring the turn is a diamond.
