hypothetical NL implied odds situation

lets say you're in your normal NL game.
Lets say your OTB with trash. an autofold hand. 93o. 74s. 52s. the sort of hand you look at and don't think twice about.
both you and UTG have at least full stacks. You know he's a bit of a calling station.

Lets say youv'e also played with him enough to know that when he min raises UTG, he's holding a big pair. /edit -- big pair = AA or KK

So he min raises UTG and it folds to you. who calls? who folds and waits for a better chance? what kind of hands do you call with? is 26o in your range? how about J3s? A10s? T6o? what exactly do you want to hold to call?

I'll give my personal answer and reasoning later on.

First I dont call here, there are better situations to play with this guy that calllng qith 93o .Do we have a read on what PP? Could he be making this same play with 10's or can we narrow it down a little more. I need to know that answer the second part about what hand I call with. Also when you say sort of a calling station, I really need to know how much he will throw away calling bets with an unimproved PP.

I like you new Avatar but what happened to the other one??? That had me cracking up.

Well, I would fold junk. I might call with 87s but that is about the lowest I go. It depends on how the blinds play too. They will probably call and you can get better odds later to drawing out.

The only thing you have to worry about, or at least I would, is a blind check raising with whatever the hell those crazy blinds do that with nowadays. Say you have 87s and the flop is J96. Blinds check and UTG bets say 5, you call but if the BB check raises for 20 more then that sucks.

Shit why not raise with 87s if you are sure he has a med-high PP. Calling stations can be molded to respect your game. When I do this they usually fold to a flop bet if an A or K comes. Sure it is a bit risky but think if you hit trip 8s and he cant let go of his overpair. You'll get a lot more action after that.

let me rephrase that. you feel confident that his min raise = AA or KK
