1/2 NL Live hand

Postby Suhleafs » Sat Jun 11, 2005 2:41 pm

max 100 buyin, 1/2 NL

I have about 170. 4 people limp, I limp with [Ac] [Jc]

i have position on everyone

flop: [As] [6s] [6c], so I have top 2 and a decent kicker, it checks around to me, I bet 8, the BB calls. turn card is a [Tc] so now I have the backdoor draw. He checks, and I check behind.... mistake?

River: [Ad], so I've got the house, but the BB pushes me all in, since he has me covered. This was a fairly "typical" table full of intermediate players, no one really stood out and they would think flopping a Ten with QTo was a GOOD hand.

what to do, what to do? results pending......

He doesnt believe you have an ace since you checked the turn. This makes the hand tough to read.

He bet $160 into a $30 pot. If he has an ace you split, unless he has AT in which case you are busted. He could also have 66 and be praying you have an ace.

Most times youre going to split so I think I let him have it.

I would've called... most of the time, you're gonna split, I'm never really worried about him flopping quads over my boat... If it happens it happens... And, every once in a while, he plays some dumbass play like he did...

I wasnt worried about the quads, but a good player will push all in there with AT and pray you have an ace.
