Iceman:
I cant believe I called you Ace. LOL. My bad.
Yeah, this hand is in the midst of my worst run ever playing poker. Its been like this for a month now and I am down 5 buyins as a result. Not good.
But I think the point I wanted to make here is on the flop, he checked so I dont think half the pot is wishy washy. Im trying to keep him in the hand at this point and gain some information in case he flopped a monster. Debatable, but I dont think an awful play given the board (if only 2 diamonds were on board I would have bet the pot).
His play on the turn strongly suggested a made hand - its a slowplay pattern. He check called the flop and minimum check raised the turn. In my experience, this is the play of someone slowplaying. What hands could he possibly be slowplaying with?
As a result, I viewed the river card as a card that made my hand, not a miracle for him. I was shocked to see AT. Bizarre way to play 2 pair. He was slowplaying it. If he was looking for information, he could have gotten that cheaper by betting the flop.
