25 NL 6-max TPGK on flop

These type of hands just seem to be trouble. I total screwed up this hand on the river, not sure what I was thinking by betting small and then calling. Would a check/call be better on the river? Or should I have just bet the full pot? What about the turn? Bet less than full pot there? I almost raised pre-flop but decided against it, feeling that I had an easily dominated hand. I feel okay about the flop and turn, but I was definitely lost like a donkey on the river:

Bet $3.5 on the river and you're good.
The better player should win the race. Always.

I think a check-call on the tiver would be better. OR you can fire a blocking bet on the river than fold to a raise. I think you are clearly beat if raised on river.
2008 Goals:

1. Make $40K by year end.
2. Play at least 100hrs a month.
3. Read 5-10 new Poker Books w/ notes.
4. Become regular at $2/$4 FR
5. Try some $5/$10 FR
6. Work on Game non-stop.

I would check/call river since you've been betting full pots into the UTG limper for 2 streets and he isn't giving up he probably has something or is drawing thinking that you have something and that if he hits he will bust you. Since the river didn't really complete any draws besides a back door flush and 1 over card I would be inclined to check it to him and then call his more often then not bluff bet.
