med high PPs UTG

Considering you have a tight image and any raise you make is usually, except by fish, respected. When you show your cards you usually show a good starting hand.

Given this, at a Party NL100 table, doyou limp UTG with a hand like 99-JJ and hope to hit the flop hard and draw some people in that way. Folding if any action comes with an overcard showing, thus losing a blind usually.

Or... do you raise and make people fold their crappy A and K and suited connectors and hope that blinds defend and bet pot on the flop? I like going this way bc people will put you on a pretty good hand if they think hard enough which most people at this level do, though some are struggling. Then people who are smart enough to fold their Axs are not to worry about when an A or K falls and a bet usually takes it down.

I think I have better results raising UTG but I have only about 2K hands at this level. Thanks for your input.

Well, I wouldnt go THAT far. Id have to check my raise % from UTG, but Im sure its very low. If Im UTG with AA or KK, I limp almost every time.

So you limp with AA and KK, along with JJ and smaller. So the that just leaves QQ, there is a tell for yah.

Actually Ive been limping QQ also. If you want a tell....if I raise UTG, Im more likely to have a suited connector than a big pair.

Of course, I will be mixing it up for the BTP cash game.
