Loose preflop raiser (30/20) opens from button for 2.50, I 3-bet to 6.50

Flop comes AQJ with 2 diamonds.

we are 100bb deep. pot is about 13, with about 42 behind.

what is my plan? is this even a question?

If i bet, i am pot committed, but check/folding would be retarded, but what do we beat that will call? Checkraise? but its so drawy lol. So we just go with it for 100bb right?

As played i really dont like this spot, i would normally bet around $10 and fold to a raise without better postflop reads, push most turns if he calls.

This player could raise a draw here, but what draw can he have? If you think he is going to call your 3-bet with [Td] or T9 a lot here, maybe. I guess this shows why you have to 3-bet a lot larger, probably to 8.50 or so as earlier said.

Yeah I usually raise to 7.50 here, but I had a brain freeze.

Anyway, I was thinking about my ev here, and wondering if it is better to bet or checkraise the flop. If I bet, I am definitely folding out the majority of the hands I beat 22-TT, non diamond suited connectors etc, and am getting shoved on by a lot of hands that beat me/or tie me.

My pot equity vs JJ+ AJ+ and QJs is like .40. So my EV is negative given the current pot size, if I just had to call an allin and knew that was his range. But if I bet a reasonable amount, and he shoves, then it is a +ev call. So should I bet or should I try to c/r to get value out of hands that arent in his calling range?
